Marcus Ng, Osteopath .
Having a strong interest in how our bodies work, Dr Marcus Ng began his tertiary education at University of NSW majoring in Anatomy. Thereafter, feeling a need to apply his extensive knowledge into a practice he completed a Diploma of Health Science (Massage Therapy) at Loftus TAFE before finally finding his way into Osteopathy.
Completing the Bachelor of Applied Science (Osteopathic Studies) and Master of Osteopathy from the University of Western Sydney (UWS) in 2008, Marcus brings a wealth of knowledge into the clinic setting.
Having previously worked along side GP’s at medical centres and private osteopathic practice’s before joining the team at Quay Health, Marcus has developed a keen interest in treating acute and chronic mechanical neck pain, repetitive strain injuries of the upper extremity and headache/migraine presentations. His practice is firmly based on the principle of structure and function, using a variety of direct and indirect techniques for the best possible outcome.
As an avid basketball player & NBA fan, Marcus also shows keen interests in all types of sporting injuries. Marcus can provide you with the best prevention tips and rehabilitation techniques that will allow you to get the most of out of your sporting performance, whether you are a weekend warrior or professional athlete. Marcus’ practice uses a range of therapeutic approaches, including soft tissue technique, adjustments and dry needling.
With his extensive studies and a keen interest in sporting injuries, neck and back pain, Marcus is a registered practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Osteopathy Australia (OA).
Outside of the health industry, Marcus has a deep interest in electronic music. He has had a parallel career as DJ in some of Sydney’s top venues since 2004 and currently co-produces music under the artist name Secret Spade.
